hi folks my name is billy and i am an addict' i would like to thank every NA member world wide for carrying the message which reached me in 2006' before then i never thought it possible to recover from my addiction' the most powerful thing i heard was 'keep coming back'since applying myself to the 12 step program attending meetings sharing honestly having and working with my sponser' and being of service regularly' my experience is i have not had to use drugs' i have just returned from the wcna33 and 'wow' what an experiencebut like previous experiences in my recovery they come and go' my recovery is here in edinburgh on this god given day' what i brought back from barcalona was a great deal of hope' and i believe i was humbled and their has been a change in my thinking' (was this a spiritual awakening) i really dont know? I need help. I am an addict trying to quit. My husband still uses and I crumble. I love my husband and don't want to leave him again. Could someone give of some tips on how to stay clean and stay home.

I would love to hear from anyone with memories of the Rising Sun, the NA clubhouse in Marietta, Georgia, where it has been estimated that some 10,000 addicts seeking recovery attended meetings between 1979 and 2001.  This was "home" to me in my early years of recovery and I can't think of another place on earth where I felt the constant love, empathy and support I experienced under its dilapidated roof.  On June 20, 2009, the Marietta Area will mark its 30th anniversary and I look forward to seeing many recoverying addicts whom I first grew to love at the Sun.

I just wanted to say thank you for my recovery and helping me stay clean, although like has been previousely stated this site does not take the place of face to face contact and or meetings it still is fastly becoming a instrumental tool in my daily program. I wonder if I could please ask if someone would write to my son who is in jail. Sort of as a sponser relationship possibly. He has been through a 30 day in patient program and is clean all of this year except a relapse the day before he reported to jail. He will be there for at least 8 more months. This work camp has no NA or AA groups and he would very much like to communicate with fellow members. I believe words of encouragement and discussion of the 12 steps could be of benefit to him. His three children have always been and remain a source of motivation for a better life.
