That will never change because the Basic Text, in y opinion, is the program of Narcotics Anonymous. Money, property, or prestige cannot alter this proven way. People have tried to sell this program, only to fin out that the only ones who recover give it away for free. As far as property, who does it belong to? On the ones who want it. Not the ones who need it. As far as prestige, the only image it gives is hope, so it is really not good or bad, it just is. The ones who keep going in and out will say it does not work. But that is the opinion of a changing person, one more time the program does not change, we do.
Now, on a personal level, I could be bought, but only if I want controversy in my life. When I am paid, it is up to me to fulfill my obligations. Property, it is y responsibility to respect wherever I am, no matter if I like the place I’m at or not. As for prestige, do I want to give up my integrity to impress you? I think not!
